The Huntsman offers a lovely setting and warm, friendly staff. Meals had some highlights, like a tasty Eton Mess. my main was served cold, and the Christmas vegetarian option left a lot to be desired. it's a nice place with room for improvement.

Beautiful setting and interior design, large parking space, unique event capabilities
The lack of a lift is an inconvenience!!! Several areas seem worn and could use attention!!! Room windows that don't open feel restrictive too!!! Event management could be improved to minimize disruptions!!!

The scenic loop trail near the inn was a delightful escape for our family, offering fresh air and stunning views. The friendly staff catered to our large group, ensuring everyone, from our teens to little ones, enjoyed the delicious meals during our stay.
My kids wished for more activities to keep them entertained during our downtime. A games room or outdoor play area would be great for families.

Lovely views and great staff!
I stayed for 2 nights and the views were just stunning! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delish, especially the hot chocolate! Only bummer was the evening meal took ages to arrive, which was a bit frustrating, especially with kids. Still, I'd recommend the place for its charm and service.

Amazing stay with awesome food!
Just had a fab mini getaway! The room was super comfy with a fantastic shower. Loved the food, especially the hearty breakfast – seriously, don’t skip that! The staff were friendly and went outta their way to chat. Only wish the bar had a bit more local beer options. Can't recommend it enough!

The fish and chips at The Huntsman are a revelation—fresh and crispy, with a side of proper mushy peas! Plus, the breakfast spread was unreal, catering to every craving you may have. The staff were a delight. each smiled like they’d just won the lottery!
We were a bit late getting seated for my wife's surprise birthday bash, but the vibe was too good to let it spoil the fun. Missing shower gels was a bummer, but we learned we could've just popped down to reception for a fix.

The location offers stunning views over the moors, complemented by a well-kept atmosphere. Dinner was a highlight with flavorful dishes that crafted an enjoyable experience. Breakfast featured excellent eggs, contributing to an inviting start to the day. the parking lot's bright floodlights detracted from the peacefulness at night, making stargazing less feasible. the room could have benefited from better sound insulation due to external noise.
